We were delighted to facilitate the annual PIPS Charity Firewalk at Queen’s PEC last night at which there were 54 courageous participants all raising money and awareness for this amazing charity.

PIPS Charity delivers Suicide Prevention and Bereavement Support Services and Therapies across Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland. The organisation’s origins are linked to the unfortunate tragedy of 14 young people taking their own lives over a short period of time and the coming together of a range of stakeholders compelled to try to address the issue. The organisation began, and very much remains, a community led organization with a strong grass roots led ethos to suicide prevention and self-harm.

Delivering Suicide Prevention Training from 2008 PIPS is a professional organisation and has trained thousands of ordinary people – like you – in how to save someone from suicide. The training is aimed at every member of the community because suicide can affect us all. PIPS Charity provides students to be more aware of the risk of suicide it also gives you the knowledge on how to signpost someone to all the sources of help available https://www.prosco.com/towing-services.

PIPS has to main aims:

  • To save lives, offer advice and support those affected by suicide and self-harm
  • To deliver suicide prevention training that saves lives.
