CPD Accreditation in process

Firewalking International is pleased to announce that we have been accepted for evaluation with the CPD Standard Office. Currently several courses, workshops and retreats are being audited in conjunction with our policies and procedures. This rigorous process will help ensure we have all the fundamental elements in place to provide you with CPD learning.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) describes the learning activities that professionals undertake to develop new skills and insights, expand their knowledge base, and enhance their abilities. This is usually measured in hours. Most professional sectors with a governing body or standards association/institute, will have a set number of hours that their members must complete annually to maintain their membership and qualification.

By taking part in CPD activities, professionals can maintain their academic and practical qualifications. It also gives them opportunities to up-skill as new knowledge and ways of working come into their profession. Those who take part in CPD activities will often report that it helps them to develop professionally and gives them more confidence in their work.

Why are we offering CPD?

Over the years, we have been fine-tuning our courses, workshops and retreats, which have been delivered within multi-nationals and small to medium sized businesses. As well as by individuals interested in personal development.

In our efforts to make sure that the training we offer is of the highest standard, we have sought formal accreditation. We want you to be confident that our courses and workshops have been assessed at the highest level and that we will continue to improve their content and delivery.

By completing the CPD accredited courses and workshops that we offer, you will:

We are more than a Firewalking Company

It must not be forgotten; we are more than a Firewalking company. Yes, it’s in our business name. Yes, we do a lot of Firewalking events and include it in some of our courses. And yes, we train people to be Firewalk Instructors. But in many ways, Firewalking is only a small part of what we do.

That said, we are proud to be the only Firewalking Company on the planet that can offer CPD. We are the only Firewalking Company that has sought external evaluation of our courses, procedures and policies. And there’s more to come. We are very serious about raising the professional standards of our own industry, as much as we are about those we serve.

Who can gain from our CPD courses?

The courses, workshops and retreats that are being CPD accredited will be of interest to those working within helping professions, and leaders in professional organisation. This includes, and is not exclusive to, Coaches, Therapists, Counsellors, Psychologists, Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation Teachers, Hypnotherapists, Body and Breathwork Teachers, and Psychotherapists. As well as leaders in lower management right through to executive level, while also being relevant to civic and community leaders.

Of course, there are those people who complete our courses, retreats and workshops because they are interested in personal and/or spiritual development. And while there may not be a need to attend a CPD accredited course, the peace of mind previously mentioned, should help you when investing in your development.
