How much does a Charity Glass Walk cost?

by | Mar 9, 2018

So, you have decided you want to organise a Charity Glass Walk. Of course, you will have loads of questions and one of the first questions we will be asked is “How much does a Charity Glass Walk cost?”.

The good thing is, a Charity Glass Walk cost is pretty standard with few variable factors!

We offer Charity Firewalks throughout the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) as well as Ireland. The cost remains the same no matter where you are. The only difference is whether you pay in Euros or Pounds.

So, how much does a Charity Glass Walk cost?

A Charity Glass Walk costs £1000 or Euro equivalent, for up to 50 people. That works out at just £20 per person.

Obviously, if you have less than 50 people, the cost per head goes up. That’s shouldn’t put you off though. Most Charity Glass Walks have around 30 people taking part and we rarely see them raise less than £3000 after costs. Usually a Charity will raise more than £5000 regardless of the number of people taking part.

If you manage to get 50 people, you should expect to raise at least £10,000. That’s a remarkable return on your investment.

Sometimes, a Charity will have their sights on a big event, that is, more than 50 people. That is no problem for us and you will be pleased to know that additional people are charged at a per head. So, if you book 70 people, you pay your initial £1000 and then just £20 per person thereafter.

All that we ask is that you keep us regularly informed regarding your numbers. That way, we can plan for extra Team Members, extra Glass Lanes, etc.

There is no upper number. If you have a venue that can accommodate the number of people we will make it happen.

“If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”

How much do other Glass Walking Companies charge?

We have no idea to be honest, but a few years ago we got a call from a Charity asking us to do a Glass Walk for 50 people in two days’ time. They had been let down at the last minute by another company. They were in a tight spot.

Luckily we were available and you can guess what question came next. “How much does a Charity Glass Walk cost? We said we would do it for the same rate they were going to pay the other company. We didn’t want them to have to pay more at this late stage and have that affect their plans.

We were surprised to learn that they were due to pay £1900 for their Charity Glass Walk. They were over the moon when they learned that they would now be saving £900 which could go toward their good work.

We can’t imagine you would get a Charity Glass Walk for much less than we offer but you never know. And that’s not because we are cheap. We aren’t. We just think it is a fair price for our work and it doesn’t have the same delivery cost that are associated with Firewalking.

Do you ever offer discounts?

It depends on the situation really. We are a pretty compassionate and caring bunch of people at Firewalking International. We want your Charity Glass Walk to make money for your Charity. We believe that, every charity event we work on should earn the Charity at least twice as much as they paid. From time to time that hasn’t happened, and we have made a discretionary donation to the Charity.

Some would say that that’s not good business, but we don’t care. When we work with Charities we look at it as a partnership and we want you to have a successful event.
