Mental Health Awareness Week 2018
Mental Health Awareness Week takes place in the UK from the 14th – 20th May 2018. Raising awareness about Mental Health is very important for us and through our events, retreats, and courses we do as much as we can to help people improve their mental health.
The Theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2018
The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2018 is about making the workplace less stressful. We are offering up to 10 free workshops across Northern Ireland and 5 workshops in the Greater London area. The workshop is called “Where is your Focus” and is available to businesses, charities, schools, and workplace.
Each workshop will be delivered at your workplace and will last from 1 -2 hours depending on how many people are taking part. There is a maximum of 25 people per workshop and no minimum number. If you are a small team you might want to consider inviting a neighbouring business, partner, customer, or supplier to join you.
So, you probably want to know what happens during the Where is your Focus Workshop
“Our mental health is a fundamental part of who we are. It determines and influences many aspects of our lives; how we view ourselves, our relationships and how we cope with the demands of life.”
Workshop Details: Where is your Focus
During this workshop you and your Team will get a short, energetic, interactive, fun, and informative talk from us that includes:
- Stress and how we deal with it
- The perils of procrastination and why we do it
- Fears and our relationship with them
- Intuition and trust in self
- And much more…
Following the talk, you and your Team will get an opportunity to put the learning into practice by taking part in a Glass Walk. Please note, the Glass Walk is purely optional, and it is a good idea to make your Team aware of that. We will remind them of that during the workshop. That said, in our experience, most people will do it, even those who say no initially.
Applying for your Free Workshop
To apply for a free Where is your Focus Workshop please complete the enquiry form at the bottom of this post. The closing date is Friday 4th May and we will contact all applicants on Monday 7th May and confirm dates and times. Please note, that we want to provide as many of these workshops as possible that week and will choose who gets the workshops to do that.
One more thing, in lieu of payment for the workshop (Valued from £1000) we would like you to make a voluntary donation to a Mental Health Charity in your area. If you don’t know any, we can make a few suggestions.
