Impactful Charity Firewalks

by | Apr 11, 2018

It goes without saying, like the organisers, we want to create impactful Charity Firewalks. We work very closely with event organisers to help them achieve this. However, it is very easy to overlook just how impactful a Charity Firewalk can be.

In this post we are going to take a wider look at the impactful charity Firewalk and get a better understanding of just how wide the ripples can spread.

Impactful Charity Firewalks and the Charity

Of course, the Charity is often at the centre of why the Charity Firewalk is taking place in the first place. Nine times out of ten, a Charity Firewalk has been organised to raise money for the Charity. And when you have Firewalks typically raising anywhere from £4,000 – £25,000, or more, it is great to know that the Fundraising box has been ticked.

It is also great to know, that they money will be used for the good work of the Charity, for days, weeks or months, long after your Charity Firewalk. The money raised will keep on working.

On the other hand, some Charity Firewalks are organised, and Fundraising is not their main aim. These Charity Firewalks are more about raising awareness in the local area. Or they could be as a thank you to the local community that support them. For these Charity Firewalks it is more about Giving Back than raising money.

Impactful Charity Firewalks and the Community

It is well known that there several benefits from bringing a community together for a Charity Firewalk. It will give them a shared experience that can strengthen relationships. This extends beyond those who are there on the night, it can include the charity, local businesses, community groups and the local council.

Charity Firewalks can also boost the local economy. A local pub or similar venue might be used for the events and they will be glad of the extra business. Catering companies and printers can often get some benefits too.

A Charity Firewalk can also foster community pride. People will talk positively about the Charity Firewalk afterwards and will therefore talk positively about their town with other people. They are also more likely to get involved in future events and volunteer with community groups.

“The way to change the world is through individual responsibility and taking local action in your own community.”

Impactful Charity Firewalks and the Participants

If you have read any of our blog posts, you will know that the personal development opportunities are diverse and often profound. Or if you have spoken to people that have attended a Firewalk with us (or any other reputable Firewalking Company), they will tell you how fantastic the night was. If you are lucky, they might tell you what they learned about themselves and how they felt before, during and after the Firewalk.

What you might not realise, is that the learning and empowerment that comes with Firewalking, will be with that person for the rest of their life. They might be more confident, empowered, or proud and this will show.

Speaking of feeling proud. That also comes from the philanthropic aspect of Fundraising. People that raise a lot of money are often modest about it, but they are also beaming with pride from the inside out.

Impactful Charity Firewalks and Us

We are always humbled and inspired when we hear the stories behind why people have organised a Charity Firewalk. It’s the same when we hear why people have volunteered to take part in the Firewalk. It is very moving to hear the “why” someone is involved.

And it is amazing to hear how well everyone has done in their Fundraising efforts. You can tell people are proud of how much they have raised, and rightly so.

We also get to share the experience with the Firewalkers on the night of your Charity Firewalk. And that is always an honour. It is a night full of fun, challenge, and empowerment. We feel lucky to be part of it and that is why we keep doing what we are doing.

Hopefully now you have a better understanding as to how impactful a Charity Firewalk can be. That the reach of benefits for the charity, your community, and the people in it, can multiply exponentially. The ripple effect will spread far beyond your sight and that is because you decided to organise a Charity Firewalk.
